1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has over taken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with temptation will always make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
Its unfortunate that we can't absolve ourselves from temptation. Since we cannot do that we have to face it and deal with it head on and not pretend its not there. When we do that is when it WILL pull up against us and get the better of us.
Matthew 26:41
Watch and pray that you do not enter into temptation. The spirit is indeed willing but the flesh is weak.
We must take precautionary measures to prevent ourselves from falling into temptation.
• Watch what you watch, think, say and whom you surround yourselves with.
• Pour into yourself that which you want to come out. Godliness for Godliness.....etc...
• Make no provision for the flesh...this kills the avenue of temptation -- Romans 13:14
Always understand that with a heart to serve God comes temptation. Satan wants nothing more then to steal the seed of promise that God has placed in your life.

Ryan, I love the verse in Romans about making provisions for the flesh. I think that often the downfall of Christians' attempts to resist tempation comes because we have made provisions for Satan to enter our lives. These provisions can include talking with people about things that we know we shouldn't be talking about, thinking thoughts that we shouldn't be thinking, and driving to places that we know we shouldn't be driving to, even if we don't plan on committing sinful acts right away.
Way to stick up for righteousness, my man!
